Privacy Policy
Pozón is a river-day book for fly anglers that runs entirely on the angler's own phone. It has no user account, no backend server, no analytics platform and no advertising network. This page explains exactly what the app touches and why.

What Pozón stores on the device
- River days: the river and stretch fished, start time, the water read the angler enters, the fly on the tippet, and a closing note.
- Catches logged during a day: species, length, fly used, whether the fish was released, and an optional photo.
- The fly box: pattern names, hook sizes, stock counts and restock levels the angler sets.
- Photos the angler chooses to attach to a catch, copied into the app's own storage.
- App preferences: haptics, sound and appearance toggles, the reminder hour, and saved (favourited) rivers.
All of the above lives only in the app's private container on the device. Pozón's developer never receives any of it, in any form. If the device has iCloud or computer backups enabled at the system level, this data can be included in that backup the same way any other app's local data is, under Apple's own backup terms — Pozón does not configure or control that separately.
Camera
Pozón asks for camera access only so an angler can photograph a fish at the moment it is logged, to keep a personal record of the catch. The camera is never accessed in the background and no photo is transmitted anywhere; it is saved only inside the app's own storage.
Photo library
When an angler chooses to attach an existing photo to a catch, Pozón opens the system photo picker. The picker itself runs outside the app and hands back only the single photo the angler selects — Pozón is never given access to browse the rest of the photo library.
Notifications
If the angler turns them on, from inside the relevant screen, Pozón schedules local notifications on the device itself: a reminder to close out the river day at dusk, and an optional weekly reminder to restock flies on the tying list. These are generated entirely on-device. No push notification service, and no remote server, is involved.
Official rules pages
Each river card has an "Official rules" button that opens the relevant fishing authority's own public website (a provincial authority, Argentina's Parques Nacionales, or Chile's Sernapesca) inside the app, in a web view. Pozón does not set season dates, bag limits or fishing rules of its own — it only links to the regulator's own page. Those pages are run by the respective government authority and are governed by that authority's own privacy practices, not this one. The web view session used to view them is not persisted, and Pozón sends nothing about the angler to those sites.
Third parties
Pozón does not use any third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK, and shares no data with any third party.
Data deletion
An angler can erase everything Pozón has stored at any time from Settings, or by deleting the app, which removes its entire private storage immediately.
Children's privacy
Pozón is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published on this page and noted in the app's release notes.
